Traditional Hatha Yoga
![]()
This is one of the oldest forms of Yoga in practice till today. In its original format it is defined as a series of poses that realign the physical, spiritual and awareness of the student. Building muscles and releasing stress from the body are its main characteristics. Regular practice ensures that the body’s energy channels flow freely. It is an ideal platform for stress release and can be done at home after learning from our highly skilled teachers. If you are focused and willing to learn, this is the best way to start Yoga. It does not require heavy duty accessories, mats, or clothing! Breath control and meditation are the key elements to master.
The classical Traditional Hatha Yoga is one of the most popular courses and students enjoy various workshops. It is a combination of posture, breath work and meditation. Subtle energies in the body get balanced by doing it rightly and under supervision. The energy channels are called nadis and the chakras are meeting points or meridians. Ancient yogis consider them as the pivotal energy points that need to be activated. Done in the right environment, the body is channelized for meditation and awareness.
Some of the most important postures are the tadasana, padahastanasna, ado mukh svanasana , virabadraasana and Trokonasanas.
We begin the classes with the sun salutation or surya namaskar. Our teachers help students to learn mudrs and Anuloma/Viloma (Nadi Shodhana Pranayama) breathing correctly.
